Family Ministry
At Miracle you will find that we are family focused. We want to offer a variety of ways to encourage, disciple, and support families. Our older students, or Youth Group, meet every Sunday night for different activities; fellowships, outreach, service projects, and more. We believe this provides opportunities for students to grow in relationship with God, each other, and other Jesus-following adults.
Our families also meet about once a month for a joint activity; things like soccer games, movie nights, bon fires, swim parties, and skate nights. Parents love our Parents’ Night Out events when the church provides childcare for a few hours so the kids can play and the parents have some free time.
We want to bless families and support one another at Miracle. We would love for you to come be a part of our growing and loving family.
Birth - 2nd Grade
Your First Visit
Miracle’s kids area is hard to miss! Just follow the signs above the doorways and look for the big wall sticker that says “Miracle Kids”. The older Sunday School classes meet upstairs from here so that families can easily find each other after class.
When you arrive you’ll be greeted by our friendly volunteers who have all been trained and received background checks. Your ease of mind and your children’s safety is of utmost importance to us.
Children 2nd grade and younger will check in at the desks while kids. Currently we offer 2 Sunday School classes for kids; Babies to toddlers and PreK- 2nd grade. Children of all ages are invited and welcome to join us in the worship service however we offer Children’s Church for kids up to Kindergarten.
We provided activities and lessons geared towards teaching these specific ages but also allowing opportunities to play and explore. A light snack is provided during class to PreK-2nd grade so please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions.
Check-In Process
In our Kids Ministry we ask all children 2nd grade and younger to have their parents check them in. Just head to the “Guest Check In” desk and a host will walk you through the simple process of gathering some information about you and your child. You will be given a security tag that matches the code on your child’s name tag. After the service just come to the desk and present your security tag and the name of your child.
If you have older children we’ll be happy to escort you upstairs to visit their classroom. After Sunday school they can come back downstairs and sit on the benches to wait for you.
3rd - 12th Grade
Your First Visit
The Student Sunday School class meets upstairs from the Kids Ministry so that families can easily find each other after service. When you arrive there’s no need to check in at the desks however if you need directions or would like to meet our volunteers we’d be more than happy to give you a tour!
Currently we offer 2 Student Sunday School classes; 3rd-6th grade and 7th-12th grade. In these classes we study a variety of Biblical topics. Our younger students are studying LIfeway’s ‘Gospel Project’ where they journey through the Bible and understand how God’s story points towards His son Jesus Christ and His ultimate plan of salvation. Our older students change topics and study material frequently to be able to tackle the current issues of today and learn how to live daily with Jesus.
There’s no need to check in for our students, just head up to class and the teachers will greet you and gather a little bit of information. We’ll see you there!
Got Questions?
Programming
Do children attend worship?
We support families worshiping together and don't mind if your child makes some noise during the service. Feel free to grab an activity clipboard in the back of the sanctuary at the "Ways to Connect" table to keep little hands busy. However, at any time, children Kindergarten and younger are welcome to join Children's Church in the children's hall.
How long does check in take?
Check in shouldn't take more than just a few minutes. We only need your names, phone number, and allergy information.
What time should I arrive?
We know sometimes visiting a new place and meeting new people can be overwhelming for little ones so we suggest arriving at least 10-15 minutes early (that would be 9:35 for Sunday school and 10:45 for worship).
This allows us to give you a brief tour of our area and helps your child acclimate.
What if my child is clingy and cries when I drop them off?
Don't worry if your child is sad when you leave, that's a good sign! Our teachers and volunteers are prepared to help your child adjust to visiting a new church. Feel free to give a hug and a kiss and walk away. We'll text you in case of any emergency or special needs.
Safety
Who is allowed to work with children?
At Miracle only members and staff who have completed the appropriate background checks for Criminal History and Sexual Offender information can work with children. Parents are welcome to sit in any class.
Will you give my child(ren) medication?
No. We do not keep medications in the classrooms with the exception of first aid kits. We will not administer medication.
Can you accommodate my child's special needs?
Yes! Please communicate with us before your arrival any specific needs your child has. We will work to ensure snack options and the environment meets your child's needs.
Who can pick up my child?
We will only dismiss your child to someone who presents the matching security tag. This applies to 2nd graders and younger. We ask you to tell your students up to 6th grade to sit at the benches and wait for you.
